Case: use of new tools for improved treatment methods for the detection of pathogens in drinking water

The aim of Cluster 3 of the Aquavalens project is to use the newly developed analytical tools, technologies or platforms for the detection of microbial pathogens and indicators in practical settings. Within WP 10, these tests are performed in large drinking water systems located in the United Kingdom, Spain, Germany and Denmark. The selected demonstration sites are considered covering representative features of different water treatment plants and distribution systems reflecting all waters of interest across Europe.
